Next DC Metro and Bus App Reviews

Selling ads on an app whose purpose is to help your customers purchase your services is ridiculous to begin with. On top of that, the interfere with the functioning of the app on older phones. Also, Ive missed several buses because the app is not entirely accurate. Update: one more thing that Wmata cant do apparently is maintain an app on 2 different versions of the same operating system! Im still on iOS 9 and the app is useless. It crashes every time I open it.

This is fast becoming the top Dc metro app. The new smartrip balance checker is a great addition. Keep the updates coming!

The best metro app

Love this app! Works great and it has been very accurate in all the bus schedules. I use it mainly for next bus and couldnt be happier. The only thing is I wish it would automatically detect the closest bus station to you using GPS instead of having you manually search for a stop but that is a minor complaint compared to how well it works in providing next bus information.

I use this app at least 2-3 times per week, and it really couldnt be better- it uses Metros own data, so even though youll see a bus that is nearly always slower to reach you than the first estimate, the only way to be more prescient is to be some form of diety.

I would recommend this app if youre a big metro bus rider. If it could get the local busses on here too (ride on, the bus, etc.) it would get 5 stars.

For using the bus, this app is the best. Route maps come in handy.

Its a great app when the bus data are accurate, which is about half the time. The other 50 pct of busses mysteriously appear and disappear. And some scheduled buses never appear at all. For others the arrival time changes significantly from minute to minute. Ive had the app for 3 months and have returned to relying on the paper schedule.

So much better, and more convenient, than checking Metros NextBus.

The only bus schedule I am interested in (#74) delivers Bad URL Error.

This app keeps me on time!

I use this app faithfully in catching the p17 or p19. It is pretty much on point in the mornings as long as the buses have their gps on. In the evenings at times the times can be off. A times there are phantom times. One minute you see it the next it disappears and the bus doesnt show up. But I say its is at least 85% accurate in the evenings.

Use it daily and times are correct. The card management feature is nice.

Only downloaded it to sync smart trip balance.
